Mrs. Edwards is a wealth of knowledge of motherhood and looking good while doing it. She’s also a sweetheart and a dream to collaborate with her. I really hope you enjoy and take notes.
BBM: Do you wear makeup? If so, what products is a part of your routine?
BE: Firstly, I’d like to say that I’m very appreciative of this chance to share a bit of myself with you and your readers. I’ve never been much of a talker but when it comes to makeup and self-care I could go on forever.
Most of the time I keep my makeup very simple. I usually fill my eyebrows with NYX eyebrow gel , cover any dark spots with my LA Girl Pro concealer and finish up my look with a little Cover FX setting powder. When I have the time to do a full face look, my go to items are Tarte Full Coverage Foundation, Urban Decay Naked Pallete #1, and Smashbox Sugarcane Lipgloss.
BBM: Do you have a special skincare routine or one at all?
BE: I wash my face daily with Olay Gentle Clean face wash and moisturize with either coconut oil or Shea butter. Once a week I will do a facemask treatment; my current favorite is LUSH Dark Angels charcoal cleanser. Exfoliation is key to healthy skin and I make it a goal to exfoliate during my shower at least 3 times a week. I love using Tree Hut Moroccan Rose sugar scrub because it makes my skin feel smooth and it smells amazing.
BBM: What was your first beauty purchase?
BE: Silver eye shadow and roll on lip-gloss from my local beauty supply store. Yep….metallic silver eye shadow.
BBM: How do you maintain self-care while having young children?
BE: This probably sounds cliché but I make it a point to take time out for myself. Whether it’s going to get my eyebrows done, catching up with friends or cruising the aisle of Target, I make sure to have a little me time. Being a mom, wife, and working full time can take a toll on you physically and mentally, so it is crucial that I not lose myself in it all.
BBM: Any motherhood advice for our readers?
BE: Enjoy every moment because they grow up in a blink of an eye. Motherhood comes with good and bad days so it’s ok not to be Supermom at all times. Leave the dishes in the sink, order pizza, and I promise your family will still love you.
